Adeline Petterson
Elementary
Adeline holds a bachelor's degree in psychology, specializing in cognitive psychology, from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington (2018). During her undergraduate studies, she developed a keen interest in how people learn. She then spent two years in Spain teaching English to students from Pre-K to 12th grade, during which she earned a Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certificate. Upon returning to the United States, she played a key role in developing and launching an elementary nature school program, incorporating alternative teaching styles such as Montessori and Waldorf to align with state standards. Adeline has served as a lead teacher working with lower elementary students in both nature school and Montessori classroom settings. She enjoys tutoring because it allows her to individualize each child’s learning experience.
